We were proud to partner with the Australian Government on this important project that had public safety at the forefront. During the COVID-19 global pandemic, safe and secure quarantine facilities became a necessity, and they had to be built quickly with strict regulations. NOORI was chosen to install blinds throughout all the secure rooms in this $200 million development. We worked with construction industry leaders Modscape and Multiplex to complete this fit out.

This project came with a unique set of challenges: these small self-contained units that were designed to house people in quarantine were built in a factory setting and then relocated to both the Victorian and Queensland locations. The speed with which these important units were being built meant that our designs and ordering had to be completed before the units were constructed. We partnered with Vertilux for manufacturing Blockout Blinds with Kassett Fascia Systems. We then had to install the blinds in all 500 rooms prior to shipping, without the opportunity to make any corrections onsite – everything had to be done right, first time. Victorian lockdowns made this whole process extra challenging but we were able to navigate all these factors to provide comforting, convenient window furnishing for those in quarantine, on behalf of the Australian Government.
